What is the PODER Payroll MasterCard® Card?

PODER MasterCard is a reloadable prepaid card which allows the employer to place the employee wages on to the card each pay period. Employees can use their cards anywhere Debit MasterCard is accepted worldwide to make purchases or access cash at Automated Teller Machines ("ATM") or Point-of-Sale ("POS") terminals.

 

How do I sign up for the card?

You can sign up for the PODER MasterCard  by visiting us online at www.poderonline.com and click on "enrollment".  To receive a PODER MasterCard you must provide us with the following information: Name, U.S. Street Address, Date of Birth, Social Security number for U.S. citizens and a Government Issued Identification for Non-U.S. citizens.

Obtaining Your Card: The USA PATRIOT Act is a federal law that requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens a Card Account.  What this means for you: When you open a Card Account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.

 

What will I need to do when I receive my PODER MasterCard?

Upon receipt of your PODER MasterCard, you will need to activate your card by calling the number on the back of your card.

 

How do I load funds on my card?

There are several options for funding the PODER MasterCard including Direct Deposit of payroll, or at participating Green Dot® Financial Network locations. 

 

How do I get cash?

You can use the PODER MasterCard to access cash from any Automated Teller Machine (ATM) or any Point-Of-Sale (POS) terminal as permissible by merchant that bears the MasterCard®, Maestro®, Cirrus®, or STAR® brand.

 

How do I make purchases?

If the merchant gives you the option to select “debit” or “credit”, you’re free to choose either. If you choose “debit”, you’ll be asked to enter your PIN to authorize the transaction. If you choose “credit” your signature will be required. If you make a purchase online or over the telephone enter your card number and expiration date. Some online merchants may require you to verify your transaction by entering the last 3 digits of the number appearing on the card signature panel.

 

How much cash can I withdraw from an ATM on a daily basis?

The maximum cumulative amount that may be withdrawn from an ATM or POS per day is $500.00.  The maximum cumulative amount that may be withdrawn from a participating bank per day is the available balance of your card.

 

Is there a daily spending limit on my PODER MasterCard?

Your daily spending limit with your PODER MasterCard is $2,500.00 for PIN-based and Signature-based transactions combined.

 

Is there a limit on how much and how often I can deposit money on to my PODER MasterCard?

You can make deposits to your PODER MasterCard at any time. The minimum amount of each initial value load is $10.00. The minimum amount of each reload is $10.00. The maximum amount of each value load is $2,500.00. The maximum number of times you may load your card per day is twice. The maximum value of your card may not exceed $2,500.00.

 

How do I get balance information?

PODER MasterCard cardholders can access the balance on their card by 1) calling the automated telephone system at 1-866-PODERMC (callers dialing outside of the U.S. may dial 1-214-446-5832 or 2) visiting www.poderonline.com and clicking on Sign In  to view balance, transaction history and statement summary.

 

How do I add money to another PODER MasterCard?

PODER MasterCard cardholders can quickly and easily add money from one PODER MasterCard to another PODER MasterCard issued to a family member or friend. Sharing funds can be performed by calling the automated telephone system at 1-866-PODERMC (callers dialing outside of the U.S may dial 1-214-446-5832) anytime day or night, or by visiting www.poderonline.com and clicking on Sign In.

 

How do I pay bills?

You can call customer service day or night to pay bills such as rent, utilities, cable, etc. The payment will be made electronically to in-network service providers or a check mailed to out-of-network service providers.

 

Can I use my PODER MasterCard overseas?

Yes, you will be able to use your PODER MasterCard for purchases or ATM transactions wherever Debit MasterCard is accepted. You can also obtain cash from an ATM wherever you see the brands found on your card.

 

What are the fees associated with my PODER MasterCard?

What happens if the card is lost or stolen?

A lost or stolen PODER MasterCard can be quickly replaced. Call customer service 1-866-PODERMC (callers dialing outside of the U.S. may dial 1-214-446-5832) to report a card immediately.

 

Can additional funds be added to a card?

Yes, employees can load additional funds on to their PODER MasterCard by going to participating Green Dot Financial Network locations.
